What studio sessions do you offer?

We teach 1-1 sessions, duets and small group classes in our studio.

What do I need for a studio session?

You’ll need suitable fitness clothing. Please do not wear garments with zips, buttons and rivets as these can damage the apparatus. Please don’t wear any jewellery (including belly button rings), and avoid wearing heavy make-up or strong perfume.

Socks must be worn in the studio at all times. Socks designed for Pilates or yoga with little rubber patterns on the sole are great, but normal socks will be fine.

Please bring water and a fitness towel if you wish. (No other drinks or food can be brought into the studio.)

You’ll also need a mask to wear in the communal areas. It’s up to you if you wish to wear it in the session. Read more about our COVID-19 procedures here.

What can I expect in a session?

Regardless of which type of session you’ve booked, you’ll be working on the Classical Pilates apparatus. You’ll explore the Classical Pilates exercises with the springs and pulleys of the apparatus providing resistance and control. You can read more about the apparatus on the Our Studio page.

How do I find the studio?

Our address is 85 Clarkehouse Road, Sheffield S10 2LG. There are three parking spaces on the drive and lots of on-street metered parking on surrounding streets.

Please don’t arrive more than 5 minutes before your session, as we’re trying to minimise the number of people in the building. If the door is locked, please ring the doorbell.

“I've been doing Pilates classes at Breathe for a couple of years. Really friendly and non-intimidating teachers, I fitted straight in as a complete newbie with a natural loathing of any sort of exercise class. I feel immensely better for my regular Pilates fix - I'm more strong and flexible now in my 50s than I was in my 30s.”
